Mary Frances Manley Thompson, 87, of Sandford, Indiana passed away October 15, 2024 in her home. She was born on April 11, 1937 in Stringtown, Illinois to Gilbert Earl Manley I and Marguerite Maxine Williams. She worked for CBS from October 1961 to 2002 when she retired. Mary was a member of the Sandford Wesleyan Church under Pastor Carl Hedden. She married Bobby Thompson in 1961 in Ridgeway, Illinois, and were married 63 years. Mary loved to travel the world, she visited 47 different countries and 49 states in the United States. Her favorite place she ever visited was Israel.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Marvin Manley, and sister, Janice Wishmier.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Thompson, brothers, Gil Manley, and Paul Manley, sister, Betty Moore, nieces and nephews Wischelle Kinney, Don Wishmier, Larry Manley, Gary Manley, Gib Manley, Amy Fish, Mark Moore, and Steve Moore.
Services for Mary will be Friday, October, 18, 2024 at 1 pm in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885.
