Mary Lou Williams

Mary Lou Williams, 68 of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, with her husband and children by her side.  She was born in Terre Haute on November 23, 1953 to Catherine Rose Brown Howard and raised by Catherine and Charles Howard.

Mary Lou retired as Activities Director at Happiness Bag of Terre Haute.  She was a member of the Greater Terre Haute Bowling Association Hall of Fame and enjoyed spending time with her family as well as bowling, fishing, and mushroom hunting.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband Dave Williams and their three children; Kevin Williams (Shawn), David Williams (Cathy), and Jennifer Cohee (David), as well as her grandchildren; Kevin Williams II, Brittany Williams, Brandon Hunt, Michaela Cohee, Mary Cohee, Charles Cohee, David Williams II, Kennedy Williams, Ashley Speer (Michael), and Rick Hardesty.  She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Asa, Emma, and Greysun, three brothers; Robin Roberts (Ann), Randy Howard (Robin), and Danny Howard (Sherri), brother-in-law Chris Williams, special friend Sandy Brandt, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents Catherine and Charles Howard, mother-in-law and father-in-law Gladys and Robert Williams, and a special niece, Sarah Norton.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at West Side Christian Church, 126 North 8th St., West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Jeremy Lamb and Pastor Larry Kelsheimer officiating.  Friends and family may visit after the service until 5:00 PM at the church.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Happiness Bag, Inc., 3833 Union Road, Terre Haute, IN, 47802, in her memory.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
