Michael Rhea Riley

Michael Rhea "Mike" Riley, 57, of Cory, IN passed away unexpectedly Saturday February 20, 2016 in his residence. He was born on March 24, 1958 in Indianapolis, IN to Kenneth and Olivia "Libby" Riley. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Larry Merchant and George Riley; and a sister Carol Savage. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Mike and Emily Riley of Riley, IN and Kris and Sebrina Riley of Marshall, IL; two brothers Ric Merchant and his wife Barbara of Indianapolis, and Randy Riley of California; a sister and brother-in-law Vera and Larry Watkins of Danville, IN; three grandchildren Jordan, Aaliyah, and Alexa Riley; and a very loving adopted family Bill and Margie Modesitt and Gary and Roseanne Waite all of Cory, IN. Mike was known by all who knew him as a very big hearted and kind man. He was a hard worker and retired from Amax Coal Mine. He loved to ride his Harley with his friends. His sons recall a man that was never to busy to take them hunting, horseback riding, boating at Racoon Lake and spending quality time with them. Mike's friends and family remember Mike as a man who would drop everything to lend a helping hand. Mike was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration Of Life Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute. Visitation will be 12:00 noon until service time Sunday. According to Mike's wishes cremation has been chosen.
