Michael Wagner

Michael Wagner, 66 of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.  He was born in Columbus, IN on August 11, 1957 to John Wagner and Rosemary Thrasher Wagner.

Michael was an Eligibility Specialist with The Division of Family Resources, and was formerly a computer programmer.  He was an avid fan of Indiana University, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Cincinnati Reds.

Michael is survived by his wife Sallee Graham Goodwin and two children, Alex Wagner (Whittney), and Kaley Wagner, as well as his stepchildren; Ryan Goodwin (Michelle), Matt Goodwin (Ashley), Lydia Elmore (Allen), Hannah Merrill (Don), and Emilee Goodwin (Jim), as well as a bonus son, John Black.  He is also survived by 10 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Kenya Wagner, and siblings; Marilyn Thompson, Martha Ramos, and John Wagner, II.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 7:00 PM, with family and friends scheduled to speak at 7:00 PM.  Visitation is scheduled on Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the funeral home.  In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen and will follow services.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to help offset funeral expenses, in his memory.
