Mildred L. Ferree

Mildred Lou Ferree, 81 of Terre Haute and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024 in St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in New Goshen on April 12, 1943 to Harley Cox and Pearl Auterson Cox.

Mildred loved to travel and enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards and BINGO, but her greatest joy was her family.

Mildred is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Higginbotham (Jill) and Robert Higginbotham (Gina), as well as four grandchildren; Brittany Nelson (Ryan), Dillon Higginbotham (Hannah), Mark Evans, and David Evans. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Chase, Teagan, and Demi, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren Ferree, her sister Norma Jackson, and her two brothers Charles Cox and Donald Cox.

In keeping with her wishes, private graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
