Norma Jean Boyll, 84 of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in West Terre Haute on October 21, 1939 to Chessie Lynch and Ola Tuttle Lynch.
Norma was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and mentor at Celebrate Recovery. She also was a member of the Regional Hospital Cancer Support Group, Union Hospital Life Group, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Y-Me Breast Cancer Support Group, where she traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the National Breast Cancer Coalition Conference and National Breast Cancer Advocacy Day, and served as Vice-President of the Hope Center Foundation as well as she was asked to write and present a special prayer for the Foundation’s annual Christmas party held by Dr. Reddy and Dr. Chakrabarti.
Norma is survived by her two children, Daniel Smith and Christine Grayless, and her grandchildren; Tiffanie Smith, Jeremy Smith, Jamie Smith, Daniel F. Smith, Zachary Johnson, and Ian Johnson, as well as several great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Lynch and Anna Stultz, as well as a sister-in-law, Mary Lynch, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rondel Boyll, as well as two brothers, William Lynch and Kenneth Lynch.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, 3050 E. Davis Drive, Terre Haute, IN on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Rick Swan officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. In addition to flowers, (perennials preferred to plant in her beautiful flower garden requested) there will be memorial contribution envelopes for TH Regional Cancer Support Group and Celebrate Recovery available at the church, in her memory. Norma’s family would like to thank all of the ICU staff of nurses and doctors that assisted in the care of their mother, especially Dr. Romani and ICU Charge Nurse Lindsey, their care and compassion exceeded all expectations.
