Norman A. Cooper

Norman A. Cooper, 73 of Terre Haute, passed away at 1:35 PM on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Westminster Village.  He was born in Terre Haute on January 18, 1947 to Arthur Cooper and Clara Lawson Cooper.

Norman was a 1965 graduate of Wiley High School and a member of Eighth Street Wesleyan Church of West Terre Haute and served as treasurer at the church for many years.

Norman is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Charli Rhodes and Terry Rhodes of Florida, and his nephew Matthew Rhodes of Ohio.  He is also survived by two aunts, Nadine Barragan of California and Margaret Haase of Tennessee and numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by both parents.

Due to social distancing requirements, a private graveside service will be held at Grandview Cemetery, where Norman will be laid to rest next to his parents. Pastor Paul Bundy of Eighth Street Wesleyan Church will officiate.  The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Eighth Street Wesleyan Church, 111 South Eighth St., West Terre Haute, IN 47885, in his memory.   Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
