Pamela Lynn Vicars, 62 of Dennison, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in Union Hospital ICU after suffering a heart attack. Pam was born in Terre Haute on May 26, 1959 to Herschel Vicars II and Barbara French Vicars.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brothers Herschel “Bill” Vicars III in 1976, and Bradley Vicars in 2019. She was also preceded I death by her grandparents Herschel and Nina Vicars, John French, and James and June French Perkins, her ex-husband and best friend, Michael Shanks, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pam is survived by the light, love, and joy of her life, son Ethan Vicars, niece Raven Vicars, great niece Ivy Shaffner, nephew Carson Vicars, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her greatly.
Pam retired from Western Indiana Community Action Agency after many years due to the effects of Lupus. She was a graduate of Marshall High School and St. Mary of the Woods College. Pam enjoyed spending time with her son, family and kitty.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been chosen, with a graveside service to be held at New Providence Cemetery in Edgar County, IL. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to help offset funeral expenses, in her memory. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN has been entrusted with arrangements.
