Patricia H. (Fitzpatrick) Bredewater

Patricia H. Fitzpatrick Bredewater, 80, of Houston, TX passed away January 4, 2022 in her home. She was born November 25, 1941 in Terre Haute to Crede G. Fitzpatrick and Lucille Joab Fitzpatrick. She graduated from Concannon High School in West Terre Haute in 1959. She received her bachelor’s degree in education in 1963 and her master’s degree in 1966 both from Indiana State University.

Her Husband Robert Bredewater whom she married on July 8, 1972 in Indianapolis preceded her in death on July 8, 2006 after thirty five years of marriage. They were truly soul mates. The enjoyed traveling and relocated several times over the years with Bob's occupation in Carbide Sales.

Pat was a High School English Teacher beginning in 1963 and taught many years in both Indianapolis and California and lastly in Houston from 1983 until retiring in 2006. Survivors include: her sister-in-law Cheryl Fitzpatrick of West Terre Haute; nieces and nephews Roxanne Vary (Al) of Iowa and their children Allison and Weldon, Crede Fitzpatrick, Judy Fitzpatrick, and John Fitzpatrick (Tammy) and their children Blake, Bailey, and Braylon Fitzpatrick all of West Terre Haute; extended family members being the Joab, Sulliven, and Witty families as well as a host of close friends and teaching associates with whom she remained very active with. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Tom Fitzpatrick. Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Steve Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
