Patricia Josephine (Houser) Didier

Patricia Josephine Houser Didier, 59, of West Terre Haute, went Home to be with the Lord at 3:10 AM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Southwood Healthcare Center.  She was born in Torrance, CA to Charles “Jiggs” Houser and Regina Geraldine Newberry Houser.

Patty was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church.  She was a 1977 graduate of West Vigo High School, where she excelled in the Band Dance Corp, cheerleading, and mathematics.  After high school, she worked in retail sales at various places, but her last place of employment was at the Wabash Activity Center.  Her greatest enjoyment in life was watching her grandkids play T-ball.

Patty is survived by her son, Charles Christopher Didier (wife Estacia), and siblings;  Timothy Wayne Houser (wife Dina Sue), Michael Houser, Kelly John Houser (wife Tammi Lynn), Sandra Lee Belleu (husband Tom), Lisa Lee Ramsey (companion Steve), and Sharon Kathleen Rogers.  Also surviving are her two grandsons, who were the sunshine of her life, Carter Didier and Deklan Didier.  She also leaves behind her companion, Howard Baugues; and special friends, Joe Duby and Francis Belleu; and several nieces and nephews.

Patty was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Louis Didier, a brother, Patrick Houser, her mother and father, and step-mother, Sharon Lee Houser.  She was also preceded in death by maternal grandparents Genevieve and Norman Newberry, paternal grandfather, Charles “Chalk” Houser, and paternal grandmother and step-grandfather Lucille Jo and Wayne Engles, as well as her dogs, Maddi-Jo and Ruti.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana; with visitation from 3:30 until service time at the funeral home. Friar Cyprian Uline will be officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held after services at Excalibur Banquet Hall, 212 National Ave., West Terre Haute, Indiana.
