Paul F. Lloyd

Paul Franklin Lloyd, affectionately known as “Goat”, 89 of West Terre Haute passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 with his wife of 68 years by his side. Paul was born July 2, 1933, to Harry Lloyd and Fern Grose of Sandford, IN. Both of his parents passed before Paul reached the age of five and he was raised by his grandparents Frank and Anna Grose of Sandford.

Paul was an Army Veteran, who served during the Korean War. After Paul finished his basic training, he hurried back to Terre Haute and married his sweetheart Sharon Gay Fisher on February 23rd, 1954, before heading to Presidio Army Base, San Francisco. After serving in the Army, he began his life long career in the trades as a carpenter. He was a member of IKORCC Carpenters Union for 35 years and later started his own construction company. A master craftsman, he could truly do it all and loved sharing his knowledge with others.

Paul will be remembered for his quick wit and many humorous musings. As Paul would say “thanks for coming” and “glad you got to see me”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, oldest daughter Marsha Ann King, son-in-law Ricky Lee King, and a great-great grandchild.

Survived by his wife Sharon, daughters Kim Lasure (Gary), Lisa Crooks; Grandchildren; Bryan King (Laura), Kris Lasure (Marty), Jason King (Cristi), Nick Lasure (Allison), Cameron Crooks, Hannah Crooks; 7 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild coming December 2022.

Officiating the service will be Paul's grandson Jason King. Graveside services will be held September 17th at 11:00AM at Pleasant View Cemetery, Tecumseh. Celebration of Life will be held immediately after the service at New Goshen Lions Club until 2PM. Arrangements will be handled by Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, WTH.
