Phyllis C. (Stewart) Robinson

Phyllis C. Robinson, 82 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at 7:35 PM at Providence Place.  She was born in Casey, IL on August 5, 1935 to Carl Virgil Stewart and Virginia R. Clem Stewart.

Phyllis, along with her husband, was the former owner of Robinson’s Ceramic and Gift Shop.  She was a member of the West Terre Haute Assembly of God Church, enjoyed working puzzles, loved birds, and socializing with her friends.

Phyllis is survived by her three children;  Wm. Joe Robinson (wife Michelle), Nancy C. Roberts (husband Mike), and Rick A. Robinson (wife Lana).  Also surviving are eight grandchildren;  Billy Roberts (wife Gena), Starshine Shifflett (husband Robert), Bethany Morse (husband Kevin), Travis Robinson, Lacey Stout (husband Ryan), Zachary Robinson, Bailey Robinson, and Dylan Robinson.  She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren;  Angie, R.J., Nick, Cole, Harley, Brayden, Megan, Macy, Claire, Ryder, and Jordan.  In addition, she is survived by her brother, Carl E. Stewart, two brothers-in-law, Tom Robinson (wife Jackie), and John Laing (wife Juanita), a sister-in-law, Betty Lawson (husband Dick),  her faithful companion, Pocket Panda, and several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William F. Robinson, on July 25, 1997.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Leon Stewart, and a grandson, Ricky Lee.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Adam Smith and Pastor Janice Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  Phyllis would like to thank John and Fonda Radloff, Janet Marshall, Erma Cooper, and Betty Birchfield for their love, kindness, and fellowship over the years.
