Phyllis June Spittler Brock

Phyllis June Spittler Brock, 88 of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023 in IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born in Terre Haute on April 6, 1935 to Leland Tryon and Gertrude Schaffer Tryon.

Phyllis was a member of Dresser Community Church. She retired from the Tribune Star in Classified’s.

Phyllis is survived by her husband William V. Brock, Jr. and her two children, Charlene Williams (Terry) and Mike Spittler, as well as her sister, Judy E. Culver.  Also surviving are her stepchildren, William C. Brock, III and Tina Rose Harden, as well as several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her 1st husband of 49 years, Merle R. Spittler, a son, “Dicky” Spittler, and siblings Howard Tryon, WarrenTryon, and Patricia Nelson.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Buddy White officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Monday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
