Robert A Bob Burns

Robert A. "Bob" Burns, 63, of Terre Haute passed away unexpectedly Tuesday February 28, 2017 in his home. He was retired from Ampacet at Terre Haute after nearly forty years of service. He was born June 12, 1953 at Terre Haute to Robert Clifton Burns and Dorothy Ruth Pearson Burns. Survivors include: four children Christopher E. Burns and his wife Robin of Terre Haute, Richard W. Burns and his wife Kasey of Washington, IN, Justin J. Harlow and his wife Andrea of Terre Haute, and Megan M. Burns of Terre Haute; three brothers Rick Burns and his wife Jannett of West Terre Haute, Kenny Burns of Terre Haute, and Brad Burns and his wife Debbie of West Terre Haute; a sister Cindy Burns and her companion Gary Rhuebottom of Terre Haute; six grandchildren Alexandrea McKinney, Leeza Burns, Tobie Burns, Jesse Burns, Jeffrey Harlow, Derek Burns; a nephew Eric Burns; and two nieces Tracey Burns and Jessica Burns. He was preceded in death by his wife Adele Christie Burns and his parents. Bob enjoyed reading, watching old war movies and sports, especially the Colts and Pacers. He was a strong supporter of our U.S. Military and Veterans. He also enjoyed writing poetry of which he had some of his poems published. He loved joking around and pulling pranks, listening to his favorite music, Dr. Hook, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. A Celebration Of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
