Robert Lee Lankford

Robert Lee Lankford, 59 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was born in Oceanside, California on May 22, 1965 to Mitchell Lankford and Glenda Stark Lankford.

Robert was an excavator and owner of Lankford Excavating. He enjoyed racing, especially side-by-sides and loved to fish, but most importantly he was the best husband, father, and Poppy to his family.

Robert is survived by his wife of 40 years Rebecca Jones Lankford and two children, Mitchell Lankford (Mariah) and Brittany Lankford, as well as his grandchildren; Kinley, Macie, Kamden, Kolson, and Maelynn. He is also survived by his mother Glenda Lankford, his brother Terry Lankford (Linda) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Mitchell Lankford and a brother, Donald Lankford. 

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley/VNA Hospice, in his memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
