Robert E. Marshall

Robert E. Marshall, 75 of Paris, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 12:12 AM.  He was born in West Terre Haute, IN on April 12, 1943 to James C. Marshall and Elzona “Ellen” McQuay Marshall.

Robert is survived by his wife Marva L. Pickens Marshall, and also by two sons:  Jesse Marshall and John Marshall (wife Courtney), as well as a step-son Kirk Pickens (wife Carrie).  Also surviving are two granddaughters, Abby Marshall and Addison Marshall, a brother, Carl Marshall, and a sister, Barbara Mykytiuk, as well as a special lifelong friend, Dick Lowe.  In addition, he also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Wanda Marshall and Janet Marshall, as well as several special nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and by four brothers:  Bill Marshall, Clifford Marshall, Jim Marshall, and Steve Marshall.  He was an Army Veteran and a retired roofer with Roofers Local # 150 and enjoyed working on classic cars.

Graveside services will be held at Vermilion Cemetery on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM (Indiana time), with military rites provided by the Vigo County Veterans Honor Guard.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to offset expenses, in his memory.
