Ronald Paul Hamm

Ronald Paul Hamm, born November 19, 1952, was the fifth of seven children born to Eugene W. and Wilma C. Hamm. He entered the gates of Heaven Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Union Hospital.
In his hay day, Ron was an expert automotive technician; but sadly, a disability forced him to retire early in his career. He was a devout Christian man and a longtime member of the Sandford Wesleyan Church and only missed a service due to weather or health issues. Ron had a spiritual goal to read the Bible from front to back; which he completed three weeks prior to his death. He led a sheltered life due to his disability but looked forward to his Sunday afternoon Scrabble games with his brother Stan and sister in-law Carla. He loved watching the old shows like Andy Griffith, Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, Gilligan's Island, Happy Days and several more. Ron was preceded in death by his infant son Ron Jr., his parents, his older sister Eugena, older brother Larry, younger brother Les and nephew Shawn Michael.
A loving father, grandfather, and brother, Ron is survived by his two children, Travis (Megan) Hamm and Heather (Matt) Bogard, his grandsons, JJ Akers, Jacob Bogard, and Liam Bogard, his brother, Stan Hamm, and sisters, Becky Hamm, Joyce (Nance) Warner-Stone, and Carla Hamm, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside Services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, Indiana, and are open to whomever would like to pay their respects, with Pastor David Lowe officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN 47885.
