Roxanna Lynn “Roxie” Robertson 56, of Terre Haute passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday September 18, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.

Roxie volunteered her services for many years teaching sign language for the head start program as well as many area nursing homes and McMillan Adult Daycare. She also signed the words to the National Anthem before many of the Rex Baseball Team games.

She was born January 3, 1962 in Vigo County, to John W. Robertson and Karen Joan (Yoho) Robertson.

She is survived by her parents of Terre Haute; a brother John William Robertson II of Terre Haute; Aunt and Uncle, Bob and Sharron Craft Of Cayuga; an aunt Mary Louden of Clinton, IN; several cousins; and special friends, Larry Mullen, Mabel Mullen, Roy and Konnie Mix, Ronnie and Connie Shaker, Debbie Carter, Wendy Foster, Donna McAdams and Family and many others.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Clyde and Hazel Yoho and Henry and Flossie Robertson.

Roxie was a long time member of both the Full Gospel Assembly Of God Church at Terre Haute and most recently at the First Assembly Of God Church at West Terre Haute. She loved to crotchet and had made many baby blankets and shawls to donate to various organizations and individuals.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Fitzpatrick Funeral home, 220 North 3rd St, West Terre Haute, Indiana 47885, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Pastors Randy Smith and Rick May will be officiating. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hopice Of The Wabash Valley with envelopes available in the funeral Home.
