Roy Allen Lowe, Jr.

Roy Allen “Oops” Lowe, “Jr.”, 66 of Paris, IL and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 in St. Vincents Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born in Terre Haute on September 4, 1957 to Roy Allen Lowe, Sr. and Linda LeClercq Lowe.

Roy enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, coon hunting, and anything that enabled him to be in the woods.  He also enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the grandkids ride their 4-wheelers.   He was known for his pitching ability in Little League and threw several no hitters. 

Roy is survived by his wife Vickie Gilbert Lowe, and three children; Christy Elkins (Steve), Melissa Rifkin (Jonathan), and Roy Lowe, III (Danielle).  He is also survived his mother Linda Lowe, his grandchildren;  Cody Elkins (Lexie), Dalton Elkins, Chelsea Elkins, Kloie Lowe, Parker Lowe, Bella Lowe, Olivia Rifkin, and Caleb Rifkin, his brother Mark Lowe (Darla), and his sister, Cathy Waldon, as well as good friends Mike Scott, Ray Weir, and Brad Cooper, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Roy Lowe, Sr. and his uncle Jim Maples.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3^rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Dennis Leek officiating.  Cremation will follow services.  Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the funeral home and again on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the West Vigo High School Fishing Team, in his memory.
