Ruth Ellen Earls

Ruth Ellen Earls, 89 of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 in her residence.  She was born in Clark County, IL on March 26, 1934 to Virgil Minnich and Gertrude Collins Minnich.

Ruth was a mantle maker at Glas-Col Manufacturing for over 30 years, and enjoyed sewing and reading.  She was the 2^nd youngest of eight children in her family.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Ann Tidmore, and Susie Roberts (husband John Michael Roberts), as well as her sister, Reba Davidson (husband Ernest Davidson).  She is also survived by four grandchildren; Rusty Rankin, John Andrew Roberts, Christopher Michael Roberts, and Amy Jo Roberts, as well as 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Edward Earls.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3^rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Mike Bennett officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow services.
