Samuel Lee Dugger, 79, of New Goshen, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Union Hospital.
He was born July 23, 1941 in Paris, Illinois to Samuel Dugger and Cathern Mullen Dugger.
Sam was a machinist for General Electric. He loved to fish and be on the river, enjoying drinking coffee by the fire with his friend, Susie Mitchell. He volunteered much of his time at the Providence Food Pantry and he loved to go on golf cart rides with his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Donald Dugger; and his sister-in-law, Linda Jones.
Sam is survived by his wife, Judith Hayes Dugger; his daughters, Sandi Eller (Gary), Samantha All (Mike), and Damita Lewis (Jim); his sons, Timothy Dugger (Donna) and Scott Dugger (Theresa); his sister, Kaye Gard (Ken); his grandchildren, Desirae Dugger, Meghan Eller, Sarah Belfi (Josh), Grace All, Christopher Dugger, Kimberly Dugger, Amanda Dugger, Kaydee Dugger, and Blaze Lewis; his great grandchildren, Blake Bennett, Aubree Doss, Jenna Belfi, Dymontae Maben, Brielle Dugger, and Kendyll Lewis; and great great grandchild; Juniper Lewis; and his former daughers-in-law, Jody Dugger and Betty Dugger. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Hank, Daisy, and Socks.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (EDT) at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with burial to follow in Pleasantview Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. (EDT) at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to the Providence Food Pantry.
