Sandra Sue Niccum, 74 of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 in her home.

She was born September 25, 1945 in Terre Haute to Harry and Evelyn Smith.

Sandra was previously employed as a cook for Grandma Joy’s Restaurant for many years. She then became a Foster Grandparent with the Vigo County School Corporation, where she read books to her students. She loved being Grandma to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn; her children, Peggy Smith, Richard Hunter (Sharon), Tammy Hunter, John Hunter (Wendy), Rebecca Dispennett and Tina Brinson; her siblings, Rosemary Merritt, Judy Anderson, Gary Herman, Becky Dupin, Harry Smith, Billy Taylor and Nema Lowe; her twelve grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sandra is preceded in death by her father, Harry; daughter, Rosemary Orman; siblings, Georgie Allen, Nelda Morris, Zelda Bedwell and Randy Smith.

Services will be Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana with visitation from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Bethesda Cemetery.
