Sandra Mae "Sandy" (Hewitt) Shepard

Sandra Mae “Sandy” Shepard, 71, of Terre Haute passed away February 19, 2020 in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care.

She was born September 17, 1948 in Terre Haute to Willard Hewitt and Wanita Cook Hewitt.

Sandy was employed at Terre Haute Communications. She was a member of the Oregon Baptist Church for 47 years.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Shepard, whom she married April 5, 1969; her sons, Dennis Shepard, Jr. (Paula) and Jason Shepard (Crystal); brothers, Tim Hewitt (Sandy), Jim Hewitt (Anita), Marvin Hewitt and Mike Hewitt (Jami); her grandchildren, Sierra Shepard Hoffman (Andrew), Austin Shepard, Caitlin Shepard, Zachary Shepard, Alainie Shepard Randolph (Tyler), Ronan Shepard, Keelyn Lopez and Addison Lopez; her great grandchildren, Kinley Randolph and Kailey Randolph; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Reverend Fred Harrison will be officiating; burial will be in Black Cemetery.  Sandy’s family welcomes memorial contributions to Oregon Baptist Church or VNA Hospice of the Wabash Valley in lieu of flowers.  Online condolences may be made at: www.fitzpatrickfunerals.com.
