Sharon “Dolly” Hope Stevens Criss, 75, of West Terre Haute went to be with her Lord and Savior August 19, 2020.  Dolly was born July 11, 1945 to the late Lena Marie Walker Tighe and Orial Otto Stevens.  Dolly graduated from West Terre Haute High School and worked in the Radiology Department at Union Hospital for many years.  Dolly enjoyed singing, writing, and playing gospel music;  baking her famous rolls; and spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.  Dolly was a devout Christian; great storyteller; and avid crafter.  She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Jo Jackson (Floyd); daughter-in-law, Debra Criss; special friend, Barry Baker; grandchildren Dennis Jackson (Dee), Jason Jackson, Brandon Williams (Angela), Courtney Scheid, Sharon Flowers (John), Summer Ligget (Kristopher), James Williams, Alexis Gregg (Stephen), Shawn Williams; great grandchildren Scott, Dalton, Nichole, Nathan, Thomas, Alex, Keenen, Arron, Jenna, Landen, Lindsay, Kayden, Addrick, Cameron, Jacob, Kamryn, Madelynn, Evelyn, and Miles; sisters Carole Johnson, Cathy Scott (Jim), Lena Long, Nina Tighe, Rowsetta Stevens; brothers Jerry Stevens and James Tighe (Joanne); as well as several great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Joe Criss, Sr to whom she was married for 26 years; son, Robert “George” Joe Criss, Jr.;  sisters Dora McGranahan and Dorothy Lowery; brothers Joseph Tighe, Keith Tighe, Thomas Tighe, and Gene Tighe; and her beloved cat, Pinkie.

Funeral services for Dolly will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating, with private burial to follow.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
