Sharon Gay Lloyd

Sharon Gay Lloyd, 87, of West Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Sharon was born November 7, 1935, to Walter Fisher and Dorothy Waid of Terre Haute. Sharon was raised on a farm near Sanford, IN, in a loving home with her grandparents, Frank and Maude Waid, which is where she gained her hard work ethic and family-adored baking skills.

Sharon worked as a bank teller for many years at Terre Haute Savings Bank and eventually retired from the ISU Bookstore as Textbook Manager. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted mother and grandmother. She had a talented green thumb and grew beautiful flower gardens at her home, which she loved to share with family and friends. Sharon was also an avid bird watcher, and the feathered friends she fed daily will surely miss her presence.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, whom she was married to for 68 years, oldest daughter Marsha King, son-in-law Rickey King, and a great-great-grandchild Oaklyn Hoke.

Survived by daughters Kim Lasure (Gary) , Lisa Crooks; sister Susan Delmastro (Jack)  brother Larry Fisher (Kathy); grandchildren Bryan King (Laura), Kris Lasure (Marty), Jason King (Cristi), Nick Lasure (Allison), Cameron Crooks, Hannah Crooks; 7 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be officiated by Sharon's beloved grandson, Jason King. A public graveside service will be held on August 26th at 1:00 PM at Pleasant View Cemetery in Tecumseh. Following the service, a Celebration of Life will take place at the New Goshen Lions Club.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
