Sharon Marie (Poppe) Montgomery

Sharon Marie Montgomery, 70 of Clinton, IN passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at home with her daughter by her side.  She was born in Terre Haute on May 19, 1950 to Albert Hiram Poppe and June “Colleen” Chesshir Poppe.

Sharon enjoyed going to Active Day Adult Daycare and had formerly bowled in several leagues at Vigo Bowl.  She enjoyed riding motorcycles and talking on her CB radio, where she was known by her handle “Delight”.

Sharon is survived by three children; Amber Greene (Ron), Misty Carleton (Jay), and Todd Anderson; four step children,  as well as nine grandchildren;  Samantha (Richard), Donald, Cheyenne, T.J., Tristan, Bella (Andrew), Kennedy, Lilly, and Bethany, as well as seven great grandchildren;  11 step grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters; Robin Borer (Jerry) and Gayle Austin (Greg) and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her husband Danny Montgomery in 2015, and two grandchildren, Hope and Nevaeh, and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 3:30 PM, with Pastor Ric May officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 1:30 PM until time of service at the funeral home.
