Shirley Lee (Edwards) Kane

Shirley Lee Kane, 79, of Terre Haute, entered Heaven on Sunday, June 6, 2021 in her home.

She was born February 22, 1942 in Clinton, Indiana to William J. Edwards and Georgia W. Trosper Edwards.

Shirley was a homemaker. She attended Bible Baptist Church, was a member of the Fraternal Order of Foresters, Clinton Moose Lodge and Clinton Eagles Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne Ellis Kane, who passed away June 15, 2006; and her sister, Linda Edwards Livingston.

Shirley is survived by her sons, David Kane and wife, Della R., and Michael Kane, and wife, Christina; sisters, Georgeann Edwards, Billie Lu Edwards, and Ruth Ann Edwards; brother, Bradley Edwards (Pamela McCullough); niece, Sarah Ann Otte; and nephew, Ricky Edwards. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Madalyn Lindsey, Nancy Isham, Skyler Kane (Maya), Tyler Kane, and Abigail Kane; and several great grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, June 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Reverend Kevin Szwarga will be officiating; burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to Elara Caring Hopsice.
