Shirley L Lake

Shirley L. Lake, 74, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 5:55pm Monday, February 20, 2017 in Westminster Village Health and Rehabilitation in Terre Haute. Shirley retired from Pauline Lake's Beauty Salon, where she had owned and was a beautician for many years. She was born June 22, 1942 in Bristol, VA. to Wiley Hicks and Onetha Leonard Hicks. Survivors include: her daughter Tina Brown and her husband David of Terre Haute, three granddaughters, Dana Tinkle and husband Josh of Westfield, IN., Brittney Brown of Terre Haute, and Chelsy Schnabel and husband Nick of Clinton, a son-in-law, John Edwardson of Clinton. One brother George Hicks and wife Karen of Terre Haute, two sisters Janice Barter, and Linda Shaw and husband Larry both of Terre Haute, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Tonya Edwardson. Friends are invited to join the family at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St. West Terre Haute, on Thursday, Feb 23, 2017, to share in the Celebration of Shirely's life, from 5:00pm until funeral service at 6:30pm, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Tonya Edwardson Memorial Scholarship Fund with envelopes available at the funeral Home.
