Stephen Earl Heyen

Stephen Earl Heyen, 61 of Spencer, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 9:40 PM at IU Health Hospital in Bloomington, IN.  He was born in Vigo County on July 19, 1957 to Earl Heyen and Patricia Wilson Heyen.

Survivors include a brother, Dennis Heyen of Bloomington, IN, aunts, Loretta Heyen , Mary Heyen and her companion Jim Toney, and Beverly Williams and her husband John, all of Terre Haute; uncle Charles Wilson of Florida a special aunt and uncle, Ronald and Maria Heyen of West Terre Haute; and a special cousin, Charles Wilson, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Terre Haute.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ricky Heyen.  He looked forward to his Uncle Ron and Aunt Maria every month, taking him and his brother Dennis out to eat and shopping at Walmart in Spencer.  Steve loved horses, motorcycles, and wrestling matches.

Cremation was chosen with a private family graveside service and burial of his ashes in Dunlap Cemetery.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to “Life Designs” for his care, and the staff at his home in Spencer.  Care and arrangements were entrusted to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
