Steven A. Phillips

Steven A. Phillips, 71 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 in his residence.  He was born in Terre Haute on October 6, 1952 to John Robert Phillips and Helen Rose Anderson Phillips.

Steve was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, life member of West Terre Haute VFW Post # 6574, member of the West Terre Haute American Legion Post # 501, the Young Men’s Club in West Terre Haute, and the Half-Century Club in Clinton.

Steve is survived by his son Matthew Phillips (Melissa), and four grandchildren; Madison Phillips, Abigail Phillips, Heidi Phillips, and Damien Phillips.  He is also survived by his sister, Elana Auten (Bobby), and several nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mike Phillips and Brian Phillips.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been chosen and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at West Side Christian Church, 126 North 8^th St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Joe Irwin officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Vigo County Honor Guard.  Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home.
