Sue E. (Durand) Hayne

Sue E. Hayne, 83 of Terre Haute, passed away at 2:23 PM on Monday, April 20, 2020 at Union Hospital.  She was born in West Terre Haute on September 21, 1936 to Emile Durand and Mamie Davis Durand.

Sue was a 1954 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and worked at Quaker Maid and later retired from Hercules.  Her memberships include Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 428 of West Terre Haute, Badoura Temple Chapter # 23 Daughters of the Nile, and American Legion Post # 346 Ladies Auxiliary, and she loved to play BINGO.

Sue is survived by three sons; John W. Lynch, Jr. (wife Judy), Andy D. Hayne (wife Angela), and Randy D. Hayne (wife Julie).  She is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and seven step-greatgrandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Hayne, son Ronald D. Hayne, Sr. on October 4, 2010, grandson Michael Hayne, and a sister, Erma Durand.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been chosen with burial of her ashes at a later date at Burnett Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Sue’s family welcomes memorial contributions to Meals on Wheels, 300 South 5th St., Terre Haute, IN 47807.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
