Sue Ann Lenderman Secondino

Sue Ann Lenderman Secondino, 79, of Shirkieville, IN, surrounded by her family passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018. Sue was born on Good Friday April 15, 1938 the daughter of Max and Marguerite (Gibson) Lenderman. Sue wed the love of her life of sixty one years Peter L. Secondino on February 23, 1957. Her daughter Jody followed in 1963. They spent many years traveling with the Western Livestock Journal Tours where they met many lifelong friends. Sue lived a full life. Aside from her family, Sue's greatest accomplishment was exhibiting the Grand Champion Steer at the International Livestock Show in Chicago, IL. The steer "Honeymoon" was sold to famous radio personality Arthur Godfrey for a record price of $30.00 per pound. A record that still holds today. Honeymoon's hide can be seen at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, OK. Sue also appeared on the Television Show "To Tell The Truth" in 1958. Sue was a vital part of Pete & Sue Secondino Farms. Sue was active in the cattle industry. President of the Indiana Angus Women's Auxillary and wrote monthly columns in Blacks Unlimited Cattle Magazine and the Angus and Chianina Journals. Sue sold Pioneer Seed Corn for over twenty years, which is still grown on their farm today. Sue also drove a school bus for 30 years for the Vigo County School Corporation. "Sue loved life on earth-You should too!"

Sue was preceded in death by her parents Max and Marguerite (Gibson) Lenderman of New Goshen, IN; and a brother Max Lee Lenderman of Rochester, NY. Sue is survived by her husband Peter L. Secondino of Shirkieville, IN; Daughter Jody Secondino-Crandell and son-in-law Ronald W. Crandell of Paris, IL; a Granddaughter Maria Crandell of Paris, IL and Grandson Preston Crandell and his wife Jenna (Knott) Crandell of South Shirkieville, IN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. CST Saturday January 27, 2018 at St. Aloysius Mission Catholic Church, 18925 E. 1350 Road; Paris, IL 61944 with Father Ronald Hilt officiating. According to her wishes, cremation has been scheduled after services. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EDT Friday January 26, 2018 at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute. A reception and meal will be held following Mass on Saturday.
