Susan May Engles

Susan May Engles, 67 of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in Community South Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born in Tacoma, Washington on August 12, 1955, to Robert Engles, Sr. and Carolyn Talley Engles.

Susan loved to paint, doing crafts, cooking, dolphins, and going fishing.  She was a kind and gentle person, and her last act of generosity was as a donor, as she donated her kidneys to help others.

Susan is survived by her mother, Carolyn Casey, two daughters; Terri Richardson (Paul), and Tammy Landis (Melissa), as well as her grandchildren; John Orman, Jr. (Heather), Sabrina Story (Brandon), Christopher Orman (Emma), Timothy Orman, Briana Orman, Tamara Jeffries (Dale), Michael Story, Isiaha Padgett, Dakota Landis, Sherry Barnard (Cameron), Abigail Padgett, Shannon Caudill, Peyton Padgett, and Elizabeth Padgett, and 6 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two brothers, Frank Engles and Michael Engles, a sister, Elisha Sulieman, and her boyfriend Gilbert Chowning.  She was preceded in death by her father, son Christopher Davids, daughter Abigail Davids, and her aunt, Terri Engles.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating.  Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM in the funeral home, with cremation to follow services.
