Tonna Jo Lindsey

Tonna Jo Lindsey, 60 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 in Union Hospital. She was born in Terre Haute on August 21, 1964 to Nelson Fortune and Sarah Surber Fortune.

Tonna enjoyed mushroom hunting and loved to bake, but she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She also enjoyed her time in the pool. She also was an avid collector of rare and unusual items.

Tonna is survived by her husband Michael Todd Lindsey whom she married December 10, 1982, and four sons; Wesley Todd Lindsey, Michael Brian Lindsey (Madelyn), Ty Justin Lindsey (Brooke), and Christopher Aaron Lindsey. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Caiden Lindsey, Emma Lindsey, Wesley Lindsey, Eden Lindsey, Lyla Lindsey, Eliza Lindsey, and Gracelynn Lindsey, as well as her siblings; Cheryl Fortune, Steve Fortune, and Gary Fortune, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Nelson Fortune, and her grandparents Roscoe and Emma Surber.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 11AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home. In keeping with her wishes, cremation will follow services.
