Vera Evelyn Fields

Vera Evelyn Fields, 86, of West Terre Haute passed away at 2:45 p.m. Monday October 17, 2016 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute. She retired from Terre Haute First National Bank at West Terre Haute after twenty eight years of service. She was born July 11, 1930 in West Terre Haute to William Frederick Collins and Ruth Alice Cashner Collins. Survivors include Her Husband of sixty six years, Bill Fields, whom she married on July 8, 1950; a son and daughter-in-law keith and Cathy Fields of Cincinnati, OH; a daughter-in-law Leigh Fields of St. Cloud, FL; six grandchildren Steffanie Ansbaugh (Chad), Mika Arthur, Trent Fields, Chase Fields, Nate Fields, and Tanner Fields; five great grandchildren Bailey, Braxton, Brody, Gavin, and Gracey; three sisters Irma Auterson, Sue Chrisman, and Judy Clark; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Fields on October 28, 2015 as well as many brothers and sisters. Vera loved reading and gardening. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Leek officiating. Cremation has been chosen after services. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until service time Thursday.
