Virginia Rose (Needham) Wilson

Virginia R. Wilson, 97, of Terre Haute, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019.

She was born April 17, 1922 to Chester and Nora Needham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Woody” Wilson; two sons, David K. Wilson and Ronald J. Wilson; her daughter, Sharon R. Daugherty; grandsons, Ronald Daugherty, Jr., Johnny Wilson, Mark Melvin, Tommy Wilson and David Wilson; a granddaughter, Jennie Wilson; daughters-in-laws, Mary Wilson, Betty Wilson and Connie Wilson; son-in-law, Ronald Daugherty, Sr.;  and several brothers and sisters.

Virginia is survived by her children, Edward Wilson (Delores), Richard Wilson (Sherry), Shirley Trosper (Gary), Lois Melvin (Gail) and John Wilson. She has many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She enjoyed playing BINGO, going to Boot City Opry and belonged to the Red Hat Society.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Pastor Ted Bradburn will be officiating; burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matt Wilson, Randy Wilson, Leon Trosper, Paul Melvin, Kevin Arney, Ryan McBroom, Skip Wilson and Tim Wilson.
