Virginia Lee Bozack Wineinger, 81, of West Terre Haute, passed away peacefully at 1:26 a.m. on March 20, 2020 in Union Hospital. She was born on October 20, 1938 to Grace and John Bozack just outside of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana on the same property where she still resided.
Virginia graduated from Concannon High School in 1957 and began working at Chesty Potato Chip Factory. While attending Concannon High School, Virginia met the love of her life, Riley Wineinger. She and Riley were married on November 26, 1960. Virginia adored spending time with her family. For many years, she and Riley enjoyed going on vacations with their motorcycle “gang” and were fortunate enough to see many places.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Riley Wineinger; a daughter, Pam Norris (Steve); sons, Bill Wineinger (Susie) and Steve Wineinger, all of West Terre Haute. She was blessed with two grandchildren, Erica Robertson (Dane Norton) and Easton Robertson (Jena), a step-granddaughter, Angela Woodward; twelve great grandchildren, Riley, Reagan and Lane Wiggins, Charleigh Stranahan, Waylon, Tucker and Hank Robertson, Gabriel and Gavin Norton, Alicyn Dowdy (Kollin), Austin Woodward, and Paige Woodward; as well as a great great granddaughter, Blake Dowdy, and several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary, Irene and Betty Bozack; and a brother, John Bozack.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, with visitation from 12:00 noon until service time at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the National Alzheimer’s Association.
