Wanda R Raley

Wanda R. Raley, 84, of Terre Haute passed away at 3:47 a.m. Friday August 18, 2017 in Meadows Manor North at Terre Haute. She was born March 13, 1933 in Terre Haute to Grover Cleveland Crist and Nellie Opal Howard Crist. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Raley whom she married in August 1952 at West Terre Haute. She was from a family of twelve children having had seven brothers and four sisters. Survivors include: a son Stephen "David" Raley and his wife Joyce; two daughters Deborah Lynn Raley and Pamela Ann Rowley; two sisters Ethel Rippy of Universal and Shirley Downing of Terre Haute; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers Lester, Harlan, Merle, Delbert, Howard, Stan, and Grover Cleveland Crist Jr. "June"; and two sisters Mabel Barbour and Helen Hayne. Wanda was a graduate of Fayette High School Class of 1951. She lived most of her life in Vigo County having lived briefly in New Jersey and California while her husband was serving in the military. She enjoyed decorating, gardening, and traveling. She loved her family and loved her home. There will be no services. The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
