Willard “Bud” L. Vicars, 94, of Edinburgh, TX, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at The Bridges at Edinburgh Assisted Living, Edinburgh, TX. He was born August, 1924 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Charles Leroy Vicars and Bessie Vicars Black. He married Mary Ann Knight who preceded him in death on July 24, 2003. Surviving are his children; Edie (Bob) Wittenmyer of Marshall, IL, Rick (Monica) Vicars of Indianapolis, IN, and Lucy (Jeff) Rumsey of Greensburg, IN; grandchildren, Shayne Taylor, Brian Vicars, Brent (Jill) Taylor, Brad (Nicole) Vicars, Robyn (James) Cass, Kylee Shumaker, Amy (Ryan) Kuhn, Kevin Brooks and Ryan Brooks. Great grandchildren Joe Allard, Jami Kochvar, Jonathan Rumsey, Calista Taylor, Nicholas Shumaker, Jayden Vicars, Eyan Vicars, Sophie Vicars, Reed Taylor, Ollee and Eli Kuhns.  Nieces Sharon Shaw and Sue Fellows, Delaware and nephews Phil Myers and Jack Myers, Washington.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Brooks; son-in-laws Frank Brooks and Jamie Shumaker; two sisters, Betty Rich and Norma Armstrong.  Willard was a member of the Penitas Baptist Church, Penitas, TX.   Graveside services in honor of his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 29th at Bethesda Memorial Park in West Terre Haute, IN by Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery.

The Celebration of Life for Willard will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 2322 N. 13 1/2 St, Terre Haute, IN immediately following the graveside services on December 29th.

The family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations to their local Hospice organization.
