William "Bill" Raymond Wolford

William “Bill” Raymond Wolford, 88, of West Terre Haute, passed away January 11, 2025, in Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus. He was born March 24, 1936, in Vigo County to James F. Wolford and Wildus E. Cates Wolford. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a weights and measures inspector for Vigo County. He also worked and retired from Dever Distributing. He married Colleen Ann Murphy on May 22, 1965. Bill was a past member of the VFW and American Legion. Bill loved to watch sports, especially the Colts and Pacers. Bill loved to gamble and would take trips all over the United States to different casinos. He was a “car guy” and loved to acquire different cars and trucks. He enjoyed taking Colleen on long drives in his new vehicles. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, James Wolford, and Donald Wolford. He is survived by his wife, Colleen, and a sister-in-law, Maureen Murphy. 

Services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with military honors in Westside Christian Church, 126 North 8th Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Pastor Chris Wilbur will be officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
