Robert Lee "Bob" Wardle, Sr.

Robert Lee “Bob” Wardle, Sr., 76 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 in his residence.  He was born in Terre Haute on August 12, 1946 to James William Wardle and Mary Louise Van Patten Wardle.

Bob was an electrician for Duke Energy, a member of I.B.E.W. Local # 725 and attended Barbour Ave. Worship Center.

Bob is survived by his two daughters; Sarah Mitchell (Rick), and Shelly Goodwin (Andy), seven grandchildren; Jeremy Wardle, Andrea Thomas (Jeff), Travis Mitchell, Jack Goodwin, Mathew Goodwin, Bella Goodwin, and Lucas Goodwin, as well as two great grandchildren, Autumn Thomas and Ayona Thomas.  He is also survived by a sister, Jane Skelton, and brother, William Wardle (Pat), a nephew who was like a son, Steve McKinney (Kristie), and his companion Kay Reagin, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia Rose McKinney Wardle, son Robert Lee Wardle, Jr., and a sister, Sharon Wardle.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Bob Roush officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Saturday in the funeral home.
